The Covenant Foundation Center (CFC) aim is to instill human rights norms and values as inalienable rights within the disadvantaged societies in Nigerian, Africa, and its sub-region, and to integrate them into economic and social development there. The Foundation seeks to promote, defend and protect international human rights standards, values, and respect for human and people's rights, the rule of law, democracy and good governance, to document, analyze and report violations of human rights and substantive rights in particular, promote access to justice for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, build , support and strengthen civil society, youths and young people, women and children, both physical and intellectually challenged adults and children as disability issues.

The Foundation also seeks to support the healing journey of individuals and communities who are survivors of violence and conflict, as models of hope. It believes in the acknowledgement of the suffering and injustice as a well-founded response to help restore the dignity and values of victims.

Most of the developing nations of the world are significantly poor and social development is limited. Three main problems hamper development goals which are:

Not all people enjoy the same chance of prosperity.
Government in the third world countries instead of focusing on delivering essential public services they assumed control of the major sources of national income, in the process corruption thrived in the public sectors and services and gained a strong foothold in the society.
Although private enterprises is improving, they are still faced with many challenges.

In the developing countries of the world at 5.3%, the rate of urbanization is high with Nigeria being the highest in the growing urban population, urban unemployment is currently estimated at 10.8%. The major focus of C.F.C is economic empowerment; the foundation would create many jobs by the year 2020 hence making it easier for private enterprises to thrive.

CREATING AFFORDABLE HOUSING

To address this problem thecovenant foundation center will take several steps; [a] buy lands on which to build affordable houses. [b] Cut the cost of building houses by encouraging the use of local building materials. [c] Consults new generation of architects in designing low-cost housing.

IMPROVING HEALTH CARE SERVICES
The new policies of C.F.C will target priority diseases such as malaria

The new policies of C.F.C will target priority diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, cancer, such as cervical cancer, prostate cancer, breath cancer, and reproductive health related illnesses. A stronger emphasis on health education will help them to be aware of their rights and obligations regarding health services as well as promote diseases prevention. Health scheme and blood transfusion services will be providedwhich in turn will support the establishment of a strong manufacturing base for essential drugs and reagents. Antenatal, postnatal and family planning services and outlets would be established to reduce maternal and infact mortality.

STRENGHTHENING THE SKILL BASE

C.F.C would ensure that more funds are spent on providing courses that build vocational and entrepreneurial skills, building technical schools and buying equipment, training and exposure to information and communication technology at all levels, proving special distance learning programmes for segments of the population, including nomadic and rural people.

The foundation provides safety net that will prevent people from becoming poor to poorer. Aids and relief packages must be giving to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, women, widows and widowers, adolescents, and victims of ethnic violence, crime, unemployment or loss of income.

PROMOTING PEACE SECURITY

The[C.F.C] ensures that the Para-military like police force, civil defense corps officers are giving an orientation programme to offer more people-friendly services. Established an early warning and response systems that will detect conflicts and mainstream conflicts prevention by establishing structures and processes that promote peaceful culture.
